I would recommend them in the Newport Mesa are for sure. FYI- they replaced the pilot assembly kit/thermocouple in my GE water heater. Not an easy task as it requires dis-assembly and taking the heater pan out.

How We Handle Plumbing Diagnosis & Inspection in Santa Ana, CA

Staying ahead of plumbing trouble starts with knowing what is happening inside the system before the damage spreads. Tweedy Plumbing checks for leaks, corrosion, blockages, and other problems that are easy to miss at first. Our plumbing diagnosis and inspection experts use real field experience and the right equipment to give you useful answers, not guesswork.

    Comprehensive Visual Inspection

First, we walk the property and check the plumbing you can see with your own eyes. That includes drains, exposed pipes, sinks, fixtures, and visible connections. As we go, we are watching for trouble spots like rust, active leaks, mineral buildup, worn parts, or other signs that something is off and likely to get worse.

    Diagnostic Testing

Once we have looked over the obvious problem areas, we move on to the parts of the system you cannot see just by walking through. That might mean checking pressure, using moisture-reading tools, or running a camera through the line. It gives us a better read on what is happening behind walls, under floors, or inside the pipes so we can catch leaks, weak sections, and other trouble a surface-level check would miss.

    Analysis and Reporting

Once the testing is done, we put the findings into plain, useful terms. Our Santa Ana plumbing diagnosis and inspection team explains what we found, what may need repair, and what should be watched moving forward. You get a clear breakdown of the issues, along with practical next steps for protecting the plumbing system.

    Service Planning and Scheduling

If more work needs to be done, we sit down with you and sort out the next move. Some repairs need to happen right away. Others can be scheduled for a better time. We explain what needs attention, what can wait, and what the job will involve so you are not left guessing. Once you are ready, we lock in a time that works and get it on the calendar.

    Plumbing Diagnosis & Inspection FAQs

Why should I schedule a plumbing inspection?

Plumbing problems usually start quietly. A small leak, early corrosion, or a worn part can sit unnoticed until it turns into a bigger repair. Scheduling an inspection gives you a better read on what is going on before that happens. A plumbing diagnosis and inspection company can check the system closely, spot trouble early, and help you avoid surprise damage and unnecessary costs.

How long does a typical inspection take?

In most cases, a plumbing inspection runs somewhere around one to two hours. A smaller home may take less time, while a larger property or a more involved plumbing setup can take longer. When the inspection is done, we walk you through what we found, show you anything that stands out, and let you know what is worth fixing now versus later.

Do you use cameras during inspections?

Yes. We use video camera equipment when the job calls for it, which allows our plumbing diagnosis and inspection specialists to see inside the pipe without tearing into walls or digging up areas that do not need to be disturbed. It is a practical way to spot clogs, cracks, corrosion, and other problems that are easy to miss from the outside. The footage also gives us a clearer picture of what is going on, so any repair recommendations are based on what is actually there, not guesswork.

Is an inspection required before major plumbing work?

Not in every case, but it is usually a smart place to start before bigger plumbing jobs. If you are planning a major repair, a remodel, or an upgrade, an inspection can help catch issues that would otherwise show up halfway through the work. It gives us a chance to look over the system, check that everything is working the way it should, and spot anything that could affect the job before we get started.

How often should my plumbing system be inspected?

For most homes, once a year is enough to keep tabs on the plumbing and catch smaller issues before they turn into bigger repairs. Older homes, heavily used systems, and some commercial properties may need to be checked more often. In those cases, every six to twelve months can make sense. The right schedule really comes down to the age of the system, how hard it is used, and whether it has been giving you trouble.
